.Infrared Germanium Window

Introduction:

Germanium Windows and Lenses are widely used in infrared devices, γ radiation detectors,  because metal germanium can pass through 2 ~ 15 micron infrared, and can be polished as easy as glass, it also can effectively resist the corrosion of the atmospheric environment, so Monocrystal Germanium material can be  used as infrared germanium window(ge window), prism, infrared optical lens. As an infrared optical material, germanium has the advantages of high infrared refractive index, wide infrared transmission range, small absorption coefficient, low dispersion rate, easy processing, flash and corrosion, etc.

In general situation, the main use frequency band of infrared germanium window is 8~12μm, the transmittance of uncoated germanium is only around 50%, but through the coating can greatly improve its transmittance and play a certain protective role, we provide DLC+AR, double-sided AR coating.
